Bubbler Repair Help Needed

Building a pool has had its challenges and we were so close to finishing only to find out that our bubblers were not set properly at gunite. Bubbler needed to be set slightly sunken and then a plaster ring would be put on and with the addition of plaster would then bring the finish product flush, however, ours was set on top thus would be taller an require a thicker plaster floor in order for the bubbler to sit flush with the finish floor.

The issue is that when plaster was finished the ring was taken off and the finish floor did not include the additional plaster required to sit flush. PB plaster crew is now going to come back and do some surgery to try and fix this. They are going to come back cut out the bubbler and reset it so that it’ll finish flush with the floor and then they will patch the plaster to finish it off.

Any experts here have any advice on how they would approach the issue ? Anything I need to consider like should I drain and refill the pool because it now has chemicals because the pool was started up since they couldn’t get to fixing the issue a few days later?

Thanks

I would NOT drain the whole pool. They may drain enough to get to the bubbler but that is all that needs to be drained.

Thanks, we just drained a foot and they cut out the old bubbler and installed the new one at height. This should all get done by tomorrow. I asked the owner of the plaster company about a water ring since it’ll be at this height for 24 hours he said nothing to worry about it’s really only at the initial fill. Is this true ?
