The interior company came back today to start up the equipment and add a bunch of chemicals. They installed the eyeballs into the returns and the vac lock. They poured in 4 gallons of acid, put two chlorine tabs and some CYA in the skimmer basket and turned the pump on. It needs to run for three days straight and the guy will be back Thursday to check the levels and make any adjustments. Now I am on brush duty! That plaster color looks SO good! Get to brush and balancing the water!

Yes, I felt like it filled faster. Pressure here is not the problem, but the pex lines they installed in the house are limiting the flow volume. I think we have 0.5 inch lines, but I would have to double check. Both hoses were fully flowing so there was no pressure loss.Beautiful water color!! Did it seem to fill faster with both hoses? I have one on each side of the house, but someone else said it didn't seem to matter because of limitations from their water meter.
Exciting! Can we see how that one intellibrite looks in the pool at night? I'm trying to decide between 1 intellibrite VS 2 microbrite. After mowing the grass, I hooked up a second hose. I didn't want to be up all night waiting for the pool to fill. It's starting to look great. It did take a full 48 hours, but we are finally to the water line.

This is my backyard. The fence is coming next. I'm a corner lot, so the house behind us is the side of their house so I can see their driveway. That should be taken care of by the privacy fence. The screen enclosure does not block out all the UV rays. I can verify you will still get burned without an umbrella or some sunblock. It does block out some UV rays and I have not had any issues with the pavers heating up.It looks so pretty! I LOVE YOUR DECK! so I might have missed some posts, but curious, is this in your front yard? When your neighbors pull up will they see you lounging in your pool or is a fence down? Also, I see you are in Florida and I know you have a lot more bugs and heat than we do, but when you put up the screened enclosure does it block out all the UV rays, like if you wanted to sun or anything?
I will grab a picture tomorrow night and post how the light looks.Exciting! Can we see how that one intellibrite looks in the pool at night? I'm trying to decide between 1 intellibrite VS 2 microbrite.
Thank you.
They were called Ice. I'm not sure where they came from, but I got them from Paver Depot in Orlando.what is the name of the pavers you used?
Thanks for the pictures.Today the interior finish guy came back to patch yesterday's wire removal. He talked to his boss and they think the wire probably came from the suppliers screen when they sift the rocks. They reported it to the supplier but chances are the bag has been around a while and the screen has been fixed. They added a bag of shock to the pool to get the chlorine up since it was at zero yesterday. The patch was added and one other spot was pumice stoned to bring the pebbles out from the plaster. He told us to wait an hour for the patch to cure and we got the go ahead for some pool action. We got two hours of swimming in before the lightning alarms went off and the rain moved in. As requested here are the pictures of the intellibrite. It is enough to see where you are going and the steps in the pool. I have seen other pools with many smaller lights that can light up a city block. It all depends what you are looking for. I am happy with our light as it doesn't blind me while swimming or sitting directly in front of it. I flipped through all the colors and blue, green, and white are the brightest. Blue is our favorite. Magenta is ok. Red just doesn't light it up well enough and that is why astronomers use red light. LOL

The light is centered in the swimming area right on the deepest part. It is 15 ft from the far end of the pool and 20 ft from the shelf side. Thanks for the pictures.
Our pool will be smaller about 28x14, but our deep end about 5 ft will be opposite the shelf, not a sports pool.
Is your intellibrite centered in the swimming area or centered in the entire pool including shelf?
Our PB recommends to place it on the deep end to shine longways, but it would shine to a sitting area and sun shelf.
Also, which automation did you end up going with and how did you set it up?
Your thread has been very helpful. Thank you.
We don't worry about them. If you maintain proper FC/CYA levels you will not get algae.Anyone have comments on phosphates?
There is not one that I know of. I think you would have to keep track of how much was put in the water by having/keeping the bottles?? Not sure about this one at all-sorryDo I need to buy some type of sequestrant test?
