Fiberglass Pool, Bluestone coping gap

Hello All,
I’ve searched the forum. Looking for a final word or advice:

Brand new leisure pools 30x14 pool in the ground. 15” bond beam collar poured. The PB’s concrete sub poured my collar level with the 4” fiberglass lip of the pool.
After using mortar to adhere bluestone coping to concrete collar there is a 1/2”-3/4” gap now between the fiberglass pool and bottom of the bluestone coping stone. The mortar raised the stone. If you’re in the pool looking up at the coping stone it’s 1/2-3/4” above the fiberglass pool edge.
**what is the best product to use to fill this gap: epoxy grout, polyurethane caulk, or Sikaflex???

None of the above. Its too big of a gap to look good. Either tile a band across the top or use a trim moulding they look ok. You can use automotive moulding and adhesive. They should always pour low amd let the installer build to level. If the pool is level they disnt need all that mud. Thinset an 1/8" thick is all that's needed

thanks Jimmy. Pool is level. Collar was poured level with the fiberglass lip unfortunately. Mud was used to to set every stone all dead level with each other.

I’m thinking a single row of 6x6 tiles will fix the gap issue. Should I fill the void with epoxy grout then tile ?

Depends on what you will adhere tiles with. A pool rated thinset or grout is fine. You will use epoxy and caulk to grout and seal after theres many ways to do it
