Hi everyone,
Doing my first SLAM - everything looks good - pool already blue after initial shock level. Water mildly cloudy but clearing. Thinking probably have a few hours more to go and still need to do the OCLT tonight.
Problem - I forgot (and did not realize) to lower the Ph before starting the SLAM. And now of course, it is too late to check the pH reliably.
Here are my readings pre-SLAM (21 hours ago):
FC 7.8
pH 7.6
TA 70
CYA 60
CH 270
Have added a lot of bleach obviously during the SLAM process which I know raises the pH even more. FC now 20.
Should I add some muriatic acid using the pre-SLAM pH or just wait till I am finished (probably fininshed in next few hours) Kids are getting anxious to swim and will probably want to go in before FC is less than 10 so not sure I will get an accurate reading.
Any thoughts ?
