New pool build in Allen TX

They are actually steps but they do look like a bench. The stone guys made the steps too tall and we may have to redo them.

How tall are they? I would really think twice about redoing them as they "match" the rest of the wall.

The top rise is 9 1/2 inches which is really uncomfortable. Not sure what the stone guy was thinking. I wish they would have graded out that section of the yard before building the wall as that was the big problem no one knew how tall the wall and steps would need to be.

Good news is they got the walls done which means we may be a week or so from plaster. And it isn’t a huge problem to redo the steps down the rode.

Getting very close now.... hopefully tomorrow morning the fence gets closed in a equipment fence goes up. Then inspection and who knows... maybe plaster by the end of the week.

We have some blue "smurf"... although when it dries it looks a little lighter. Before they expose the aggregate it definitely has that smurf blue color. Tomorrow acid wash and then water! Almost done... hope they get the patio cover finished soon and work through the punch list quickly.

 OH YEAH!!!

Here is your next job with the build. Put a sock or such to the end of the hose to keep the metal off that pretty, new plaster! Put the end of the hose at the lowest spot in the pool when the water is started. Do NOT turn off the flow of water for any reason once it starts flowing.
