So initially this was a new fill, so I started maintaining it with trichlor tabs. Everything was fine at first. Water all clear. Then, when I saw CYA reached the needed levels of 40-45, I switched to cal hypo to avoid going into CYA runaway. Pretty much the next day after application, the water turned cloudy, and has only gotten worse. I always maintain FC between 3.5->9.0, testing twice a week. What do I do to fix it?

Cloudiness after adding Calcium products is not uncommon, especially if pH is high. Your statement, "the next day after application, the water turned cloudy..." is where I'm concerned. Did you add the cal-hypo late in the evening and walk away so that you couldn't have seen it cloud things? Or did it go in fine and not cloud things but the next day it is? One scenario means normal, maybe with high pH, the other means you were too late and now you have an algae bloom.

I tested FC after sundown and just after dawn and got 13, then 12.5. And yes, I did remove the trichlor tabs overnight to avoid having them influence the readings.
pH=7.5
Calcium test = 7 drops to turn blue = 175.

Cloudy with a hint of green, though I suspect that's perhaps algae on the walls.
Then what you're seeing is cloudiness caused by dead algae.All the chlorine in the Cal-hypo started killing it.

It's one or the other. That's not algae or you did let FC get too low at some point. You'll have to make up your mind.
Almost certainly algae.
The pH isn't high. The CH isn;t high. It;s been long enough that any Calcium cloudiness should be gone.Cloudy + green is almost always algae.
OK I just added 4 lbs of 73% cal hypo to the mix.
