in your free time, get a jump start on learning the ropes and terms. ABCs of Pool Water Chemistry. It’s a boat ton of info to process at first. It took most of us several reads but after a couple of tries.... it clicks and it really is simple stuff.

Got a Summer Waves 9 x 18 x 54.
Learning the ropes! Newdude...thanks for the firehose of info😂 You’re right, it’ll take a while to process but I think I’m getting it.
Can anybody recommend a way to remove the cover so that not all the rain water gets in the pool?

I’m in Florida and we get RAIN! I used the wet vac yesterday and actually removed 500 gallons of water from the cover!😮
Is there a hard cover for this animal? Or a special “rain cover”? Some gadget to place underneath the cover itself? I can’t wet vac it everyday...it took over an hour🙁
Your suggestions are GREATLY appreciated!🙂👍

@Oly had 2 suggestions. They make submersible pumps that automatically come on and drain for this exact purpose. Or you can use a garden hose let it siphon itself when need be.

Most pools get rained in without issue. If you know a whopper is coming, you can open the cover or peel it back enough to let most the water in. This won’t help you everytime, as the weather people seemingly use test strips to predict, but it would help most of the time.
