The skimmer has 2 tabs of chlorine in it that the builder put. Should I get liquid chlorine or simply add 2 more picks using a floating chlorine thing.

I’d take it up about 5-6 ppm. (Half the jug) And test tonight to see what kind of loss you have and what your CC looks like. If you only go to 3 ppm, it’ll probably be below one by tonight depending on how sunny it is. If there’s anything in the water that the chlorine has to deal with. It’ll be consumed even faster.
Plan on using the other half tomorrow.
Yes. Pour it in at the return to allow the jet to disburse it. You’re good. Wait 5-10 minutes to get in if it makes you feel better.
If it were me, Id do a quick test about a half hour after your pour this in.
PH is still good but chlorine is back down again to about .5-1. Should I put the other half of the gallon? I had about 6 kids in the pool today for a few hours with FL sun.
CL is high this morning and so is PH. I think CL will go down with today’s sun and kids in the pool. Should I add acid to bring the OH down again?
It's easier for us to give recommendations if you post your actual test results. Not sure what OH is? Muriatic acid is used to lower PH & TA.
When you use Poolmath and want to keep a record of your test results and what & how much chemicals you add, if you click the check mark in the top right corner it'll create a permanent record you can look at. It's helpful for tracking trends, and, since you've shared them, we can see the logs too.

Chlorine tabs will also likely increase your CYA levels. Most on here check & add liquid chlorine daily and only use pucks when absolutely necessary, like when away on vacation.

I just got a new pool last November, and havent had to add a drop of chlorine, with my SWG.
I'm planning on adding a SWG too. I think we may still need to add chlorine from time-to-time on heavy demand days (hot & sunny, and/or lot's of use).
