Is this correct? (Shock process)

Hi there!
I'm currently shocking my pool (16,500 gal/ pebble). CYA is at 50. I've been maintaining shock level at 16ppm, but I'm literally on my 7th day and still losing about 2ppm each night. Filter running continuously - except for about 1/2 hour yesterday so I could clean out the filter cartridges. Any ideas ? Should it really take this long? I've been through about 8 gallons of (Home D) 10% bleach.
Thanks for any help in advanced, and hope everyone is safe out there.
Best-
John M.

For CYA of 50, the recommended SLAM level of FC is 20. You have been targeting too low.

Not sure what is going on in your Pool Math app... I just checked and mine says 20.

Oh wait... are you using a different calculator? The one we recommend is Pool Math.

Pool Calc is not a TFP product, PoolMath is.

If that was just a typo and you are using PoolMath, then you must have your CYA set to 40 somewhere. SLAM level is 40% of your CYA level, for a quick sanity check.
