I can't level anymore!

Putting up an intex 18x48. I digged down to soil and will use 1" XPS with 2" brick pavers.

I built the rail and using a 6 foot level I am level all the way around..maybe a 1/4" variance in spots so happy with that. My issue is more around the ground itself. Given I did this by hand there are some high spots / low spots / small divots etc.

I would say I at most have a 1" variance.

While I know the foam will help with the divots etc I am guessing the floor wont be completely level but wil be smooth because of the foam. Any recomendations or do I just fill the pool!

Leveling is one of the worst parts, but don't give up. Trust me, the work you put in the first year will pay off in years to come, don't take shortcuts in year one or it'll snowball. Use a tamper or rent a rolling leveler for a few hours to make sure you get the ground nice and level. I'd try to get it less than an inch personally. Sounds like you're real close to filling it!

I have a 8x8 hand tamper but also have a lawn roller. I tried the roller early on and didn't think it worked well but the ground was a little wet maybe worth trying it again. Before it just kept picking up direct and making more divots!

My railing was awesomely level. I too had some divots, and kept trying to get everything perfect. I have sand down and then anti-fatigue mats over the sand.
Do I know the divots are there? yes. it the perimeter of my pool level, also yes. Did I eventually stop caring about the little divots in the center of the pool and glad I accepted the pool as is was, all un-perfect and stuff? Absolutely yes. Fill the pool and enjoy. A little dirt may settle there, but IMO it makes it easier to vacuum out when it's all together ;)

We spend a lot of time on this site and start thinking that EVERYONE has the perfect pool. I can promise you that with all my pools imperfections I get nothing but compliments when having guests over. Stuff like - your water smells so clean! to that they love the feel of the floor.

Maybe give yourself 1 more hour to touch up the ground, it will never be perfect and then GET IN THE POOL!

You think I should add some leveling sand when I roll to even it out more? I have some dry dirt I can add as well I guess.
If you think you need it, but don't add to just add then you may just be prolonging the "problem". but like KNE said it'll never be perfect, just gotta get dang near perfect like you almost are

I have some slight dips in the bottom of mine. They don’t matter a bit. Fill that thing up and enjoy.
