So far it seems to be working fine. I'm going to toggle it on and off throughout the day, and also plug some different things into the outlet to see if that trips anything. Will keep you posted!
Hello,That's an excellent point. Shouldn't matter to have it on the same breaker as the main pool VSP, should it?
And thanks so much for the help!
That is an extra tube that goes inside of the pump. Keep it, you'll want to replace it annually or at least every couple of years. They have detailed instructions on how to disassemble the pump and replace that. It's very easy. Thanks to all of you!!
I'm almost done. Just got the Stenner on the wall and drilled a hole in the rubber stopper for the barrel.Next will tap into the plumbing and I'll be about ready to fill with chlorine and test!
One more question:
What is this used for? Is it needed? I don't see anything in the instructions manual.

This is a way of doing it I had not thought of, but the second you turn the Aux7 off, your pool pump stops along with the Stenner. I think you'd want to continue to run the pool pump another 30 minutes or so to mix the chlorine better through the pool.Hello,
I am curious how your Stenner arrangement is working.
I am sure that there are different ways of providing power to the Stenner.
I have the same panel and I wired it to Aux 7 independently.
When I select Aux 7, the Stenner starts along with the filter pump that turns on at a pre-selected speed.
This is set up in the panel where you can assign a pump speed to the Stenner and it turns on the pump automatically.
I have Screenlogic set up in my computer and phone where I create a schedule for the Stenner selecting how many minutes its should turn on.
I set this up a couple of years ago but let me know if there are any questions.
It took me a while to set this up and Jim R. helped me with some details.
I love the Stenner set up. Its a very reliable pump.

In my schedule I have the VS pump running 24/7 at a low speed of 1,100 RPM or so. This setting is called "Pool".This is a way of doing it I had not thought of, but the second you turn the Aux7 off, your pool pump stops along with the Stenner. I think you'd want to continue to run the pool pump another 30 minutes or so to mix the chlorine better through the pool.
If you keep the Aux just to turn Stenner off and on with a schedule or egg timer you can add chlorine at any time with any function going. The way you have it, the pump can only run a certain way while you are adding chlorine.
I like being able to add chlorine regardless of what else is going on with the pool, as long as the pump is running.
Sounds good and makes sense if you are running your pump 24 by 7. I'm not sure most do that. It works for you and that is what matters, however I was just thinking if no other circuits were running and you went to chlorine/stenner, as soon as it stops the mixing stops. You know and remember you have to hit the Pool High first. In my schedule I have the VS pump running 24/7 at a low speed of 1,100 RPM or so. This setting is called "Pool".
Then twice a day (morning & aft) I have another setting called Pool High that I run for an hour twice a day. This setting works the VS pump at 2,500 rpm to create skimmer flow and to overflow my whirlpool ensuring chlorine is being circulated in the whirlpool. My whirpool overflows into my pool.
During this 1 hour frame, I run the "Stenner" circuit for however long I want most of the time I inject chlorine for less than an hour. When the Stenner stops, the system falls back to " Pool High". When "Pool High" expires after an hour, then it all goes back to "Pool".
My Stenner injects approximately an ounce a minute.
Consider that you can superimpose or run circuits using the VS pump. The system will run the highest speed you have selected.
If you are outside by your panel and want to run the Stenner and want to keep the pump running higher than normal when the Stenner stops, then, preset the Egg Timers to where the Pool High runs no more than 1 1/2 hours and the Stenner, say 20 minutes, then select the Pool High first and then the Stenner.
I love the flexibility I have with this system !

Exciting. I remember how I was a few years back when I decided to tackle it and got help here. It was a huge accomplishment to know I had made it happen and was able to really make my pool easy to maintain.Super excited! I'm up and running!!!
I've still got some clean up to do, but I'll post pics in a bit.![]()
Yeah it was a lot of work, but that just makes the accomplishment so much sweeter. And it'll be well worth it!Exciting.
