IntellipH connection/power with Intellicenter/Intellichlor

I have an IntelliCenter i10PS with the "built-in" Intellichlor transformer (& IC40) and an IntellipH enroute to me from Polytec. I already have an Intelliflo pump. Looking forward to getting it all installed over the coming long weekend and finally eliminating my current wall of Intermatics....

I've read all the IntelliCenter threads here, which have been enormously helpful, as well as the Pentair manuals. However, one question remains: how will the IntelliPh connect? (To be clear, I will NOT have IntelliChem, only the IntellipH).

My understanding is that the IntellipH is not supported by IntelliCenter at present (and the manual only mentions EasyTouch/Intellitouch). Does that mean the IntellipH has to operate completely independently of the Intellichlor, and I would just connect the IntellipH to a separate relay in the IntelliCenter (to disable it if needed)? Or do I still connect the Intellichlor out of the IntelliCenter, into the IntellipH, and then back into the IntelliCenter?

Maybe this will become clearer once I actually have the equipment...but for now I'm a bit confused!

I would not assume ther IntelliPH is not supported by the IntelliCenter. Pentair does not update their documentation.

Seems like anything the ET supports went into the IntelliCenter code. I would try connecting it the same way as the ET. Plug IntelliChlor cell into IntelliPh and IntellipH into the IntelliCenter where the cell plugged into..

@MyAZPool can you confirm?

Actually, I think I found the answer in MyAZPool's excellent IntelliCenter info thread. I must have somehow missed this before:

IntelliCenter Quick Reference/Information Guide

"if an IntellipH and IntelliChlor Salt Chlorine Generator cell are used in combination with the IntelliCenter, then the IntelliChlor Cell should be connected via the IntellipH controller and the IntellipH controller is connected to the IntelliCenter (IntelliChlor connection). In other words, the IntelliChlor cell is then connected “in-series” with the IntellipH controller."

What can't apparently be controlled via the IntelliCenter remotely is the dosage rate.

Allen,
All correct (and unfortunately so true about Pentair documentation). The IntellipH is NOT controlled by the IntelliCenter (i.e. dosing levels or manual dosing cannot be controlled from the IntelliCenter or its associated user interfaces).

But that does not mean that it cannot be used in conjunction with the IntelliCenter. It can and works exactly how it was designed to work. The OP just needs to install according to the IntellipH Acid Dispenser System Installation and User’s Guide, but everywhere in the user's guide, when the OP see's EasyTouch/IntelliTouch, pretend that it says IntelliCenter..

If the OP does that, then it will work as designed.
