We replaced last years TF-100 chemistry with a new set this week. The CH was reading 350 last week and is 600 today. TA was 90 last week and is now 110. All other tests are within their normal ranges. Chemistry was exactly one year old, stored inside. We are surprised by the increased numbers. Double check with pool store?

Don't go to the pool store. You'll end up with a third set of readings that won't be near either.

There's a known issue with new bottles of R-009 developing static electricity which makes smaller drops so you use more. The fix is to wipe the tip of the bottle off with a damp paper towel before every drop. Just for the next 3 tests should be ample. That will probably fix the TA discrepancy.

600 is awful high CH for Florida. I would suggest you take a long time to run that test. Let the speedstir run a full cycle without adding any more drops about every 5 drops. My experience is that you can force the color change by more mixing or by more drops. Try the more mixing. And look at the drops coming out. Once in a great while there's a casting flaw in the tips and the drops come out noticeably smaller than the drops from other bottles.
