iAqualink and transformer

My old jandy board died on me. The transformer from 2004 also died but I discovered a fuse blew on it just today.
I bought a new transformer and the iaqualink upgrade kit. The board wouldn't fire up. After testing the transformer I see it has 24vac coming off the 2 yellow wires to the board. But once i plug it in to the board it drops to 1.5vac. So the board won't turn on.

I rigged my old transformer (bypass the fuse) for testing purposes. It also had 24vac but kept that amount when plugged in. The board then lit up and all was fine. but I unplugged it all because of my jerry rigging. The transformer part # is below (off amazon and pool supply stores) and I "think" its the replacement for my old one. But the 24vac should stay the same when plugged into the board correct?

Many reviews on Amazon describing the same voltage problem. I would return it as defective and get another one.

Where did you buy it from?

Is it an original Zodiac part or a knockoff?
