Not needed. Call royal and have then give you stamped drawings from them they all offer this service. Dont pay for second set they give you a pair. An independent engineer will rape you on price. I would double check the trucking rates. That sounds right but fill is hard to get rid of unless they have a dump site. What we do is dig the pool and stockpile the dirt. Then second day have truck run the dirt out. We put as on Craigslist ahead of time and find somebody local to take it minimum 2 loads. If you have typical jersey clay you want alot of base under your deck especially if pavers. We geotextile then 12" of base compacted in 2" lifts. You need lots stone regardless and some inside pool too. Bobcat comes in handy and setting panels is a 3 guy job. Btw I cant tell you how much it sucks building a pool it's not fun at all

When I emailed Royal and asked for a stamped and signed drawing they said, they have an engineer that they can refer me too and I pay them directly. I’m going to have to give them a call to see what they say. This pool build seems doable but after talking to people on TFP and pros like yourself, it seems more difficult than anticipated. As they say ‘you don’t know, what you don’t know.
I going to break it down into small steps, and complete one step at a time. Already knowing there will be setbacks. A lot of TFPers have contributed to this build but you have been the most responsive and helpful. Thank you very much Jimmy. I can’t say enough how much I appreciate it.

No problem. Find out the fee usually its 500 tops for a stamped set remember it has to be NJ stamp. Its do-able its just a tremendous amount of work. All the builds you see on here of DIY dont rly show the additional laborers and the hard work. Also the excavation varies alot from regions. Guys with sand can dig the pool in a day with a rented bobcat and need little stone. Here in NJ we need an excavator and lots of stone. The actual pool build and plumbing/electrical is only the larger half of the build. Theres a huge amount with the coping and decking especially when not using concrete. Post as you need help
