Folks,

I've now got my I8PS Intellicenter doing complete control with my generic V-Green pump, Circupool swg. While setting this up I have a couple of questions that I can't find an answer to in any of the documentation:
  • There is a 2-pin connector on the board that has "2 spd" designation. It appears this signal is turned on when spa and solar heat is turned on. Are there any other conditions when this comes on?
  • There is another 2 pin connector that come on that has "spa" designation. I think this is supposed to be the connection for the spa booster pump. In my system it does turn on when spa mode is selected but it does not turn off when I select pool. Is this a known problem, or is there a glitch on my system, or is there something else that turns this on?
  • I can adjust my spa heat temp setting with the remote app. But when I do this for the pool, my app setting changes but it does not change the setting on the main control display at the sub panel.
Any help from our Intellicenter experts would be much appreciated.

Chris

Chris,

On the EasyTouch, you have to assign 2-spd to a circuit, so I do not understand why it comes on in the spa mode??? Unless it is assigned as a 2-speed pump..

I use the Spa two pin relay output to control the heat to my standalone spa, and when I am in the Pool mode the Spa relay is off. I suspect there may be a delay, but it should change... On when in the Spa mode and off when in the Pool mode..

What did you do to get your V-green pump running?

Thanks,

Jim R.

Thanks Jim.

I used the digital inputs and set Step 1 as low speed on the internal timer and set it for 24 hr duration. Two of the other inputs (Step 2 and 3 were set as high speed and zero duration) that are activated by a signal the solar heater valve signal (for now) and the gas valve relay on the heater heater. When neither of them are selected the pump reverts to low speed. Low speed is plenty for the chlorinator

It's nice to have a functioning VS pump at long last.

I don't know that the 2 speed pump socket automatically does anything. It's similar to the other features where high speed would need to actually get assigned to a specific circuit.

In the setup menu you'll see an option to select that says "circuits needing high speed pump."

If you had a 2 speed pump there's a specific 2 speed relay that would be needed or you'd use the filter pump relay plus 2 additional relays to control the speeds.

I'm not sure how you could use that socket to your advantage but I imagine you'll do some experimenting ?
