Jandy Automation Cost?

I was given a quote of $4,250 for Jandy automation. We have 2 lights and a VS pump. PB said it would control landscape lights too, if we ever add them.

I've looked throughout this TFP forum/website and saw at most about $2k. Something seems wrong.

What is included within the scope of your quote? You need a larger electrical feed to the Load Center installed? What existing electrical needs to be removed before your new installation?

if the $2K quotes were for new builds, retro fitting an upgrade takes more work and can cost more.

What specific automation equipment are you getting? Equipment can cost $1,000 - $2,000.

Builder's prices are about 2 X what internet prices are.. Jandy has several levels of automation, so which one are you being quoted? Does this include the pump or just the automation? It will have to control the pump and the SWCG, plus any valves and light transformers..

The key is that Jandy, through the builder, provides a 3 year warranty.. Buying off the internet and a DIY install only has a 60 day warranty.

They wouldn't ever tell me what the specs were for the automation that they were quoting. They just said, "Jandy automation - $4,250" I can never get an answer from them.
