
Had problems earlier this year with low PH and high Alkalinity, but have managed to bring PH up with varying Borax and Washing Soda. 8/3 we added 1 gal Muratic Acid (31.45%) to work to bring Alkalinity down. Had forgotten the advise of the forum over the past year and made the mistake to use CHEAP chlorine pucks in stead of liquid
Don't understand why chlorine stays so high and suspect something else the problem.
Todays readings
Basic chlorine test -- color orangish-red off the chart. Using the PH colors as an indicator it is around a 7.5 color.
PH - 7.2
FC - 25
CC - 0
Alkalinity - 150
Calcium - 190
CYA - 120 (hard to know since markings start at 100)
