Test results, bleach and muriatic acid recommendations?

Those must be manufacturing because a local pool store in Tucson sells it. Leslie's will not. Have to find a more local, mom and pop store I think. That deal at walmart might be close. I think I pay 3.99 for each gallon of 12.5% with the 12th gallon free.
Dianna, I am in Sahuarita and have just been buying the three pack of bleach at costco for 10.99. Have you found it cheaper with higher concentrations somewhere in town?

That is most likely Clorox bleach. It is not suitable for use in pools. The Cloromax additive is a polymer/surfactant.

Knauss, your kidding me. I thought a lot of people use Clorox in here? So is the Walmart generic brand of bleach any different? I have been using Clorox bleach for the past 6 months and the pool looks the better that it ever has. What liquid bleach can buy from a regular store?

Household bleach without additives is very hard to find. I do believe Walmart has one. They are all 6%. Typically there is better value now in getting liquid chlorine, 10% or 12.5%, from Walmart, Home Depot, HASA, pool stores, etc.

Cloromax is a fabric protection additive. There are reports it foams and also it can leave a scum on the waterline and in the skimmer. Clorox was contacted last year and they responded that the product was not suitable for use in pools.

Are you still following the SLAM Process?

TA will come down by lowering your pH to 7.4 when it reaches 8.
I finished SLAM after about 3.5 days and let the chlorine drift back down. PH was at 8 a couple days ago and I added muriatic acid, but not enough to 7.4. FC had been above 10 for most of the week so I wasn't heeding pH. I can add more muriatic acid? Thanks
