The posts I see from people using Foamular (at Home Depot) as an underlayment are happy with it, but I'm also considering Gorilla Pad (12x24 seems hard to find without ordering online). Any opinions on these products? And what is meant by 'triple taping' the seams??

The foam works well, and so does the gorilla pad.
Some people like the foam board better because it's thicker.

Triple taping is placing a strip of tape over the seam and then placing a strip on each side of that overlapping the seam.

Thanks. Should both sides of the board be taped?
Ever hear of anyone using Tyvek tape (used on house wrap)? Pulling this off your fingers will almost take your skin off.

I don't recall anyone mentioning using Tyvek. Sounds like it may be difficult to manage. Unless you have a lot of help it is going to be difficult to completely tape all the seams on both sides of the foam. Taping one side is fine.

Ideally it should, but that is normally more work than it's worth, so almost nobody does it. Taping one side is good enough and if the tape is triple or more overlapping strips it's good enough.

Tyvek tape is great. It's a lot stronger than the foam board covering.

I see from your pic you used the blue stuff instead of Foamular (pink). Any reasons for your preference?
Actually, one of my near by Friends/neighbors had 15 sheets of the blue stuff up in his storage barn. It had been there for years high and dry and he had no use for it. So he told to come and get it for free. So yeah, that was my preference!
