Shallow 3’6” vs 4”

That makes sense.

I have been using my pool for some water exercises - I found I need it deeper than 5 ft to do the water "running" with a float on...right now my feet hit the bottom on occasion...

What I really need is one of the adjustable depth nets I see on the SEC commercials for leg rehab - wonder what that would cost? The net allows for running/rehab at different water depths.

Yes it is going to be 48' long. You think that makes a difference?

Wouldn't it go to 4' slower because of the length? Am I thinking about this wrong? 24' from 3.5' to 4.5' would be 1" per 2 ft right?
What I was saying is that with a 3.5/4.5/4 bottom, (assuming gradual even slope), you will get to 4 foot depth by the time you are half way to the center. So 36 feet (or 3/4 of the length) of the pool will be 4 feet or deeper. With a pool that long there should be plenty of space.

I’m 5’1” and wish my pool was shallower. It’s a play pool and only 5’ in the center, but that’s over my head. When I’m in 4’ area, the water is up to my neck, and I’m trying to keep my chin above water. I really wish we had gone with 3.5’ at both ends and 4.5’ in the center. We had the pool set up for volleyball, but anyone under 5,10” struggles to enjoy it as much as they could have if we had gone a little more shallow.
