No pressure after sand replacement

A non teflon silicone lubricant.

To expand on what Pat has mentioned. To force water to your pump, align your inlet valve so it is only pulling from the skimmer. Then put a hose into the skimmer outlet towards the pump and put it on full force. See if you can push water to the pump.

So I should lube all rings even the one for the filter and how much?
Obsolutely! Not a crazy heavy coating, but a consistant, generous amount that covers the entire O-ring. Without it, air blows right-on by. You may not see water, but I guarantee air is getting in there. Start with the pump lid O-ring and drain plug(s). See if that, along with letting the pump try to prime longer, helps.

Can anyone help confirm I have the handle at the top in the correct position. Some stickers online show the filter action position being 180 degrees from one I have. I could of gotten wrong sticker from amazon. I

When you fill the pump basket with water, does the water come out at the pump or the pool? (you have it on backwash, it should not bubble at the pool)

Heading to pool store now to get the lube.

Can you post a picture of the sand filter label? (not the top)

I had to get a replacement sticker because the one before was all mangled. So could it be the sticker i was sent its wrong? It had a notched out spot but i was suspicious how things did look bit off.
There are 2 hayward multiport valve layouts, you think the new one is different?

I think i was sent the wrong one when i ordered it on amazon. The manual Texas Spalsh sent shows this is exact one as well. Thanks all for the adice. Will update as i just got home with lube. Wish me luck.
Once you get everything lubed, change the filter handle to the "waste" position (current label) .... that is "recirculate" position on the other label, both allow water flow, if it is still bubbling at the pool, then you are correct, that is not the right label for that valve

The multiport valve label is on backwards. The labels are basically the same. You just have to turn it 180 degrees.

The suction valve looks correct, but it looks like someone took it apart to service it. So, it might have been reassembled backwards. So, open and closed might be reversed.

Ok I lined both rings added water and put it on backwash. It started flowing no issues. I stopped it because hose I had attached broke because of age. Turned it back on and lost pressure again? If I fill basket it will start to backwash but with minimal pressure and then basket goes midway again.

So backwash dumped at the filter? Not water in pool? I would turn pump off, turn filter valve to recirculate (current label) and see if you can get water moving back to the pool

What do you mean, the basket goes midway?

If the basket is floating, the impeller might be clogged.

Generic baskets tend to float. A rock can hold them down so that you don't have problems.

If you need to check the suction valve, you can open the union to look in the valve.

When the pointer of the multiport handle points to the waste line, that's the Waste position. So, the label is backwards.

I fill basket to motor full and it ran for a good 25 seconds till my hose popped. I turned it off and now when I fill basket I get little water out for backwash and nothing else. Only time I get pressure gauge to move is when I close filter handle at top and it’s get to 10psi. I can’t get any circulation or flow now what so ever.

With the power off at the breaker, check the impeller by removing the basket and feeling in the hole to see if the impeller is clogged.

You can open the union at the front of the pump to see if the valve is open or closed. The suction lines are flex pipe. So, you can bend them an inch or so to look into the valve.
