Just thought I would offer another counter point. It is certainly your pool so I respect what you want.
At 6 ft diving in isn't really safe anyway - so having a shorter deep section isn't a huge issue because diving wouldn't be allowed if it was my pool. But I do see the issue of jumping in and somehow hitting the transition to the shallow end...With that in mind, I had another idea, and then I will leave you alone - what about making the bell the deep end and extending it so that the deep part is an entire circle - this new deep round section as the deep end would cut into your shallow straight section a bit, but not all the way across like the way you posted earlier.

It was really nice of you to make this effort for me. I am grateful. At this point, you and I have diverged on preference. You love deeper pools, and I TOTALLY get that. However, if I was going to give that much of the pool to a deep end, then it would need to be a REAL deep end of 8 or 9 ft. Like I said, that's nothing something I want to do. So you've really great to show me idea, but in this case, it's just not the direction I want to go in. HOWEVER I do like the idea of a "jump area" at the end of the pool. I'll still have a good size shallow end of 25' long and about 16' wide. Which, according to my research, should be a nice size area. The "Jump area" will allow the kids to go their flips, cannonballs, and wild-Rear entrys with no danger of hurting themselves. That deep area will be 5'6" or 6' water depth (Whatever i am allowed to do). And will be about 10' wide and 16' long. Now as for the bell area, we want that to remain a standing area, BUT we might drop it down 6" to a 4'6" space.. Sounds small, but we went to a pool and 4'6" is up near your shoulders if you are 5'11" (Like I am) So right now there are three choices:
1: 3'6" on the left and transition to 4' in the middle, and stay at 4' for the rest of the pool
2: 3'6" on the left and transition to 4' in the middle, then go 12' more feet and a "steep" transition down 2 more feet to 6' for a jumping area The bowl area would be 4'6"
3: Same as #2 but make the bowl area 4ft like most of the pool, with the jump area as described,
Odds are our pool will be one of these.
Thanks again for your help!
