It’s an acquired taste my wife says. You either love it or hate it. At least that’s what I have found out. I love it. Today I have some left from last night so I’ll throw a big ol pice in a bag today while driving from spot to spot today. Ya prob not the best thing to chow down on during the day but it’s so mich better when really fresh.

I’m on a mission to find a recipe for east coast (NY style) Chinese boneless spareribs. I can’t find any decent Chinese food out here at all, soooo, I’m gonna make it myself!!

As soon as I go back east, I’m taking a direct route to Kawloon and stuffing my face!!

Be sure to post your Chinese boneless spareribs recipe as I surely will be interested :)
I remember many years when I was at Kawloon and the food was to die for, lots of street food o_O

Fresh ground beef for DW famous meatball sub  BTW I did 5 meatballs in the air fryer and those came out great

For all you Instant Pot fan-boys and Sous Vide crazies -

Yeah, there’s an Instant Pot with a built-in sous vide cooker and you’re only just finding out about it

I’m holding out for the Instant Pot model with foot massage option....not sure anyone will want to eat from that after my tired dogs have been soaking but, oh well ... ?‍♂️
i just found out ninja makes a instant pot with air flyer also built in so that will eliminate 2 pieces. i didn't notice of it had sous vide.

i was going to experiment this summer with some sous vide cooking when i had time. it sounds cool. don't know if it's worth the effort.

i was at a local bar a few weeks ago and their special was prime rib and in the explanation it said it was cooked sous vide. i didn't really grasp how you would do prime rib that way cause wouldn't u have no sear on the outside then? i just don't know enough about it i guess.

You cook the meat sous vide and then sear it at the end. That’s how Sous Vide works - the water bath gets the meat to the correct internal temp and then you brown the outside.

Honestly, for my family size (3 adults and 4 kids), sous vide would be impractical and take too long. It’s great in concept but it’s really not practical given all the equipment you need (a vacuum sealer is helpful) and the counter space it consumes.

I dunno, I’ll just stick with tossing a piece of meat on the grill. All these fancy smancy ways of cooking a slab of meat, seems like a waste of time and money to me.
Just give me fire, and I’ll resort to my cave man instincts to cook.

i didn't know that. i knew there was a lot of time involved and why i never tried it.

i hear ya. and it's worked forever. i'm excited that my one fireplace will be for cooking only now since we built the other one now. the one on my patio is going to be for cooking now only. i can't wait to do a few steaks cooked over some super hot wood coals!

Rob in the winter time I find it too cold to be outside cooking so I experiment cooking indoors and usually try to cook things that we would normally order in a restaurant. The newer gadgets like the air fryer and the instant pot just cook the food faster
