This Engineer Deserves a Medal!!!

In retrospect, I can kind of see why it was staged. With all the time, $$$$, and effort he put into that thing, he needed to make sure he got the package back after each "heist".

Had it been legit, the bad guys would've been happy to trade a little glitter clean up in exchange for the 4 enclosed cellphones ...any day. It would have been one and done.

Back in High School I did something similar to a friend's 55 Chevy..

Take one cigar box full of cut up paper bits, an old set of ignition points, a button, some lamp cord, string, a couple of matches and a cherry bomb...

Place package under the hood.. Use the lamp cord to wire 12 volts from the battery to the set of points. Put the button with the string attached between the points holding them open. Run the string through a small hole in the cigar box and wrap it around the fan blade, Remove the insulation from a small part of the lamp cord next to the points. Tape the matches and fuse from the cherry bomb across the bare wires of the lamp cord.

When the driver starts the car, and drives off... The fan blade pulls the button from between the points Current flows, wires glow, matches burn, and cherry bomb makes a lot of noise and paper bits go everywhere...

If cell phones had been invented it would have made a heck of a video... :p
