ph rise is greatly affected by aeration from spillovers
i would be trying to reduce things that are causing the ph rise than keep adding acid
your ta level is close to the minimum so that only leaves the spillover
Good catch aussieta. First I had heard about a spa with that much aeration spilling back to the pool. I would only run that a couple times a day for 30 minutes or so, just enough to keep the spa water chlorinated.
Back to the CH. I am surprised your CH is that low when your last fill was in Dec 2017. Mine starts at that level. Your fill water CH must be in the low 100's. You should get close to 3 years until your CH reaches too high to manage (~1000 ppm).
