This is a 10x23’ pool/spa in SW Florida.

proposal I just got last night

1. Filter: Pentair Clean&Clear 150
2. Pump: Intelliflow VSF 3HP
3. Salt System: Autopilot Digital NANO 220V
4. Heater: A/Q HEAT 143,000 BTU
5. Lighting: Pentair Globrite LED (Color) (3)
6. Touch System: Pentair Easy Touch
7.LED BUBBLERS: 1 ( Spa)
8. Contractor providing initial start-up service
9. Handrails: (1)

Is A/Q AquaCal and why do you suppose this builder switches from Pentair on this item?
I do not like that he lists the touch panel without listing which model.
No model on the Autopilot either.

Of couse I can ask for model specifics but it seems to me this is a very bad way to bid. I feel wary about this approach.

The SWCG will not be controlled by the EasyTouch. Why not use an Easytouch packaged with IC40?
Also the filter is really small. Bigger the better.

The heater does not need to match the ET. Any heater can be controlled by the ET.

what is estimated gallons for the pool? the autopilot Nano has 2 models one rated for 22k gallons and other for 28k. Recommend SWG double the size of the pool.

I used a pool volume calculator for a 10 x 23’ pool with deep end at 5’ and shallow at 3’ and got 6900 gallons. That sound about right?

that is exactly 10x23x4 foot deep It all depends on where your deep end starts and how much volume on each end... You can start at 7000 gallons and adjust from there...

I would make sure the Easytouch you get is NOT a "Lite" version... they have an "L" in the model number, like PL4 or PSL4... As with anything called "lite" they just don't taste the same.

The ET lite only has the capability of 4 programs and does not contain a load center for your circuit breakers..

This one comes with an IC20 which will be plenty as long as your pool is less than 10K.. (And no Spa...)

if my pool is 7000 gallons and the smaller Nano handles 22k gallons, why do I need a bigger filter? How big? Thanks all.

bigger filter equals less cleaning equals less maintenence, can never be too big. as said you want pentair SWG get the bundle theres NO reason to use another brand other than headaches
