Hello all -
Been lurking on this site and picking up so much information since ordering my pool a few weeks ago. Currently we are scheduled for installation on Aug 6, as long as the weather allows. The pool delivers tomorrow, so I will try to post some pics as soon as I can. Today I received my Taylor K-2006 and I decided to run a water test just to get an idea of the chemicals I need to have on hand (quantities) to start. Here is what I got:
FC = .8 - this seems a little low, even for tap water. Per the Pool Calculator, seems I should add 21oz of 10%.
TC = 0
pH = 7.8 - plan is to add 28 oz MA
TA = 290 - seems high, but per pool math, just lower pH and aerate
CH = 90 - I know it is not critical since I have a vinyl liner, but wanted to check just in case it was really high
CYA = 0 of course. Plan is to add 41 oz in the sock in the skimmer method
Does this look appropriate to everyone? Thanks in advance for all the knowledge I’ve gained by reading this amazing website.
