cost efficiency - - -powdered vs. liquid bleach ?

Using poolmath, and plugging in your pool's volume (any volume will work, but anyway...) and using Effects of Adding Chemicals... 400 ounces (25lbs) of 65% Cal hypo adds 169 FC. 640 fluid ounces (5 gallons) of 10% bleach adds 44 FC. You have 68% and 10.5%, but we're close enough.

So it's FC 169 vs 44

169 for $70 = $.41 per FC ppm
44 for $7 = $.16 per FC ppm

Bleach is the clear winner. And by the way, that's a fantastic price.

Could those here buying 8.2% 10% , 12/5% LC please share where they are finding deals?
TODAY:
Leslies: (12.5%) $11.35/box of 2 gals ($5.67/gal)
Walmart: (10%) $3.65/128 oz.
ShopRite grocery, store brand (8.2%) $2.89/121 oz. jug (currently on sale for .20 off but container is only 121 oz)
Would LOVE to find 12.5 or 10% or 8.2% on sale somewhere.
(6% not an option as I'm not Iron-Woman to carry what it would take to stock up. The 8.2% 121 oz jugs are bad enough!)

I need to shop around, I'm paying $3.60 a gallon at walmart!

Get the Walmart 'cleaning' bleach. it's only 6% but it's a full 128 oz and $1.77

I'm paying $3.23 ($2.99 + 8.25% sales tax) for 121 oz of 8.25% at Kroger big chain grocer (and until recently Walmart - until the strength and price was changed). Have some more price shopping to do.
