Had an eraser hit my brain’s blackboard, comes with old age. How long should I wait to test cya levels when adding stabilizer? Most other levels I wait about an hour.

If you added liquid, you'd need to give it enough time to mix. If you've added dry, you will need to wait until it is all dissolved and mixed. Did you add dry via the sock method? If so, you can test once it is all dissolved.
Sorry for leaving out that bit of info. I use dry stablizer, in a skimmer sock, placed in front of a pool jet. My experience is that it dissolves and disperses quickly (usually in a couple of hours) that way.
I normally wait a day or two. Just a novice myself, so will be interested in others thoughts.
