Remove Nature2 Cartridge

I'm continuing my process to simplify my sanitation system. After I had a problem with the ozone system, I thought it was better to just have them take it out altogether rather than sink more money into it.

I'm now starting at my Nature2 cartridge and read some threads about removing the metals balls. Would a cap like this also work to remove?

I currently use what I think a a W28000 or something. Is there a cap I can just buy to take out the vessel like the link above or am I better off trying to remove the balls from the existing cartridge?

I have never installed a cartridge into my Nature2. It came with a blockout plate that looks similar to your link. I'd say get that and see if it is the blockout plate. Apparently some of the units do not include this plate.

If this doesn't work, I suggest just taking the cartridge apart and using just the orange top piece. See mine below it looks to be like you could just remove that top orange piece by pushing in the tabs.

You should not put any metals into your pool. The Nature2 FusionSoft is fine as a saltwater chlorine generator, but the mineral cartridge shouldn't be used. My system came with a blockout plate for the mineral cartridge but many systems do not. For those people, the solution is to take a cartridge apart and just use the top as a plug.

I see you have a "nature2 water purifier". This is a "blue smoke and mirrors" product. I highly suggest you stop using it.
