In pool umbrella holder.. let’s talk what you have used....

I’m looking at this: https://santabarbaradesigns.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/SBD_2015-Tearsheets-POOLTUBE.pdf

Is the holder installed with the rebar?

Any suggestions would be great.

NEVERMIND!!! Those babys cost $350 each. I almost spit my coffee on my keyboard when the person told me the cost...... When I asked her if I heard her correctly, she was offended that I asked and then she tried to justify that that are an exclusive to a certain clientele. Apparently I'm low class because I refuse to pay that much for PVC that probbly cost them $4 dollars to make...

Yikes! The similar ones I've been looking at are in the $15-35 range. Granted they're 1.625" inside diameter rather than 2.25", but still.

PASSED is a good word!!! SWEET!

Talk to your inspector about what is required...........how loud? how connected? ect. to make sure you get the right one for your area. Will you also have to have window alarms?

If you are in the City of Henderson, read their pool standards. If Clark County, read theirs. I believe they are the same. They will dictate what type of alarms / barriers are needed. We are in Clark County and used these Defiant Home Security Pool Alarm-DE-602 - The Home Depot.

There are NO good options on alarms. For safety purposes, they should be left installed and active.

A better safety option is to install pool barrier fencing.

Take care.

Code is 85dcbl and higher that goes off within 7secs of door being open.

As far as windows, as long as the locks are 54”””in and above you don’t need window alarms. But all doors leading to the pool or can have access to the pool have to have alarm.

My question was not about code but rather what alarms people are using.

Thanks I think I got my answer.

Called for Gunite/shotcrete and they are scheduling 10-15days out.... Question, should I backfill the trenches for before they shoot the pool to make it easier for them? Having a clean and proper work area is always nice......:)

That would be after the plaster is done. I think the PB would send out a crew to do stuff like that. Now what crew that would be I really don't know. So I guess that means YOU get to put them in. Do you have them already? Some screw in, some slip on.
