I would like say Hello everyone is in this group.
My name is Mesut.
Simply i learn many things from this group/forum and thanks for your time and for this opportunity.

Purchased house in Frisco,TX with pool 8 months ago. It is irregular shape, 12500 gallon with Spa & cove and top water fall.
Initially pool company was taken-care but slowly i understood that, they do not do something special and Why not I do care it and started taken care.

It took sometimes to learn chemical, and most of other important things such pool water circulation cyle:) but still not sure for that :)

As of now, pool is much better than before :) and this group's suggests and advises made life really easy of course little youtube clips as well.

Cleaning filter was little complicated but I did. it is Hayward DE6020...

Now it is time to select pool cleaner..Too many reviews and options is not make selection easy. Also thinking nowadays price would be better.

Take-care

Mesut,

Welcome to TFP... A great resource for all new pool owners no matter where they are from.. :shark:

If you have been reading this site for very long, you will know that the first thing you need to take care of your pool is an accurate test kit.

How are you currently testing your water?

I'm glad you found us..

Thanks for posting,

Jim R.

I bought one from HomeDepot, HDX kit :)
Compared result with Leslie and numbers were very close.
Also bough phosphate tests form NatChy since there are 3 big and many small tress in my backyard...
I need CYA testing kit. Initially i did not realize how important it was but now :) I know...
I have seen in your group, also selling it and it would be pleasure to order one from you. In anyway will order more reliable soon.

Mesut,

Just to be clear.. This website does not sell anything... :p

We do often recommend the TF-100 test kit, which is sold by one of our "In the Industry" members, but our primary goal is just to have all our members use an accurate test kit so that your readings, my readings, and uncle Joe's readings, are all based on the same standards. That is one reason that we also recommend the Taylor K-2006C test kit.

You will find that Pool Store readings are often way off from being accurate and their "free" test is really designed to get you in their store to sell you something. Something like Phosphate remover, which is normally never needed as in reality having high Phosphate levels just does not matter.. It is however, a great revenue generator for pool stores... Sigh!!
