New build on the horizon

I'm tall and my youngest is 10 now so I am happy with 4'. We went 9' in our deep end so that necessitated a deeper shallow end. I need to measure but I think we are at 4' at this point. For your sized pool you have plenty of area to start at 3.5' so that is where I think I would go. Really I would even consider a 0 entry pool and lose the tanning deck as you would naturally go from 0 to swim depth which leaves plenty of space for your lounges and such. Also let's people that want to put their chairs deeper to do that. Only thing that keeps me from 0 entry is my pool is not long enough to make it effective. You don't have that problem.

I do admit, I would do the beach entry with a built an umbrella holder built in to if I had to do it again. The PB even talked about doing one instead of a tanning ledge but the wife was dead set on a tanning ledge instead. I can see it now, umbrella up with chairs in the water. Oh what could have been!

Thanks, everyone! We are in a bit of a holding pattern until backyard power lines can be buried. Electrician and power company have to work together, and it's a busy time of year for both. Gives me more time to second guess our choices and change my mind as I learn more here on TFP and see more great pool builds :)
