South Florida Pool & Outdoor Living - STARTUP PHASE

Re: South Florida Pool & Outdoor Living - STARTUP PHASE

We have had it since december with no issues. Granted we don't use it everyday and our TV is completely covered like yours. When weather is bad and especially during current pool construction I put it on. Check out my build at Northlake, TX New Pool Build...any thoughts or comments are welcome and appreciated!

We are still experiencing some high filter pressure even after cleaning the cartridges. It's noticeably higher after the refinish (normal was 15psi before refinish, now its closer to 25 psi). We've been able to get the spa to work better but still can't get the Venturi jets to go. PB suggests replacing the cartridges since they've been through 2 plaster finishes. Does that sound right?

The PB is the one that should foot the price for the new filters since he is the one that caused the need for the replaster.

I would replace them and see what happens. You can also "deep clean" them with TSP in a big trash can.

Let us know what you end up doing.

The glare is what I have read about. A lot of people saying they have to wait until it's getting dark to see well. The back of our house faces south with the garage off to the west so it provides shade to the back patio and now pool area from 3pm on so hoping that helps with the glare issue. I wish we had more roof over hang area like your house but we will make it work. I have even tossed around the idea of the first 10-20' of the screen to be glass or whatever they use to create a "roof" but I better quit spending more money before hubby goes crazy! Haha

Do you have anywhere that you can install a roller shade? We bought a 10' coolaroo roller shade for $70. Super easy to install and roll back up when not in use.

Shop Coolaroo Mocha Light Filtering Cordless High-Density Polyethylene Exterior Shade (Common 120-in; Actual: 122.75-in x 72-in) at Lowes.com

Happy Friday! Here is one of my favorite shots from the night before the party.

Wow lovely pic! I love the string lights. I have been trying to think of what we are going to do for lights like that but with our cage. I have seen lights they mount in the cage but I love the look of the string lights. Everything looks really lovely.

I was wondering about putting lights over the pool. I think it looks beautiful. Is there any safety issue regarding the lights over the water?

Can you follow the metal supports for the cage and mount the string lights along them? Sort of outlining it with the lights? I think that would be so very cool!
