Pool Math........The App

If you click each chemical in teh overview, it will take you to a window for that chemical with pool math for that chemical. SO the calculations are there, just in a bit different format.

Wow. That is flat unintuitive.

Refactoring may be too much effort and the UX is okay one you realize it is there. Perhaps a first-time use overlay explaining how to get recommendations?

Or, after you save your reading prompt the user to review the chemical suggestion.

DallasSocFan,

Thank you GREATLY for your assistance! Your feedback is just what we've needed. The developer and I have been reading your thoughts and taking notes. Thank you greatly! Please check your PM's as I'd really like to put you in contact with our developer.

Really like the app so far and thanks for making. One thing i thought would possibly be cool and may have been mentioned, too lazy to look, would be after you input your numbers an option to see a report of what you need to do to correct the areas that need to be corrected on one screen or print option if possible.

I agree that re-sorting the readings is useful - CC and FC grouped together.

I do have a few wishes/suggestions:

1. Allow tracking of pump run time in addition to SWG output %
1a. I have a cover and my SWG runs at a lower % when it is covered vs un-covered - it would be nice to have this SWG % tracked as well - it could be toggled on/off as most users would never need it.

Agree on this one. I wrote this up about 5 pages ago. The key is to have a calculated field for Pump run time x Cell % to get Cell run time. Tracking cell run time is the key. It should not be toggled off for anyone who has a SWG. They won't always have their pump on the same number of hours.

Pump run time is in the works. We ran into a roadblock however putting this into a form that can be read and displayed on a graph down the road. Some users will enter their time as 90minutes, some will enter 1.5 hours, some will do 1:30. In the end we need to set a code to convert each of these to the same format (seconds in this case) to be graphed in the near future. Additionally we're tossing around ideas to try to make a way where users with VSP's could set their speed, run time, and time of day to record various items.

We just ran out time to complete this before our Memorial Day deadline.

Not sure if this was noted, but the FC min numbers do not jive with the TFP numbers.

At my CYA of 60, it says my range is 4-9, so I've not been too worried about my few readings of 4 or 4.5. Now I have a bit of algae....

The TFP Calculator online says 5-9 for CYA of 60, so I am in no way blaming the APP for my Algae, just saying we should try to be consistent. In the fact target online is 7-9 and the app target is 4-9 (or it is call recommended)

Later,

When was the last time you updated your CYA level in the log? If it's been awhile enter a new CYA result and see if it matches. We are using the same code now between the App and webpage so the results should be the same. By entering in a new cya levelmit will "force" the App to update its results. Additionally make sure you're updated to the latest build. You can check this in Test Flight. If they still don't match can you PM me with your pools settings so I can try to recreate.

Ok, so I entered a current CYA, last measure was on May 6 - now that I entered a updated (yet the same) CYA it matches the site.

Also, I am on Android and still at 1.0.0 - and can't find a way to update, but at least this little hiccup is fixed, although ideally long term when live CYA would carry through in perpetuity!

Thanks though for sure!

Hi all, Can you please confirm the name of the app is "Pool Math"? I tried to find it by this name in Google Play but no luck. I am in Canada so not sure if that has anything to do with it. Any Canadians who managed to install it? Thanks!

Please read the steps listed on the page below,
Pool Math Android Testers - Google+

With the App still in Beta there are a few additional steps a user must take.
