Have Contract Just need to Sign - Pool Build - Pearland Texas

Today the PB crew came out and did the initial chemicals for the startup. They put two circulation pumps.. 1 in the pool, 1 in spa and told me to have them run and they would be back Monday.

Then I will start the brushing of the pool and program the aqualink etc. I was able to turn on the LED lights no color and added some pics. They accidentally put the 9 watt to the left of the sunshelf and the 30 watt on the sunshellf. They willl fix Monday but we are pleased. We added two lights on design of 30 watt and glad we did!!

I know y'all are probably getting sick of all the posts but I figured out the lighting and thought some pics were in order. As I have read on TFP the red color is not strong but still cool. My kids love the disco feature!

I LOVE the purple color! How does the disco work? Fast changing of the colors? Are all the lights the same color? It sounds neat.

We NEVER get sick of pics or stories! MORE please! psssssst you can even do videos (I have no idea how but....LOL)

The disco mode also creates underwater vibrations to the tune of Bee Gees songs. It's very cool.

The electrician was supposed to come by yesterday. The variable speed pump for the circulation is tripping the breaker when it is turned on. Also the 2.5 hp motor is in the wrong place. It is attached to the spa and the 2.0 hp motor is attached to the waterfall, bubblers and slide it is supposed to be vice versa. Anyway the kids are at least playing on the rocks and the sun shelf till we can get everything going Monday! It is a little cold at 70 degrees but they love it.

I've seen the S.R. Smith installation videos before. It looks pretty straight forward but I'd like to see how the holes are drilled for the anchor bolts and if an adhesive is used at all (in addition to the bolts). The pool's almost full! Are you'll going to jump in this week/weekend?? It may be a little chilly but might be worth it.

Where in Pearland are you? We're in the Meadows of Southdown subdivision behind Dawson HS.

We secured the slide today to the deck. Basically used a marker through the holes to mark 8 drill locations. Moved slide and used a 1/2 inch concrete drill bit with a larger hammer drill. I had tried my hammer drill at first BUT it was under powered. Placed bolts in holes and slide back over the drilled holes. Used hammer to tap into concrete holes and tightened. It was easier than I thought it would be. Water is plumbed and works great!

Imagine that, a project that was easier than expected. Next thing you know the Cubs will win a...wait...

Great news. We almost installed one and I still ❤️ them.

Thanks for the close up pics of the slide bolts. Sounds like an easy installation as long as I have a strong enough hammer drill. I also like the valve control for the slide's water. Can't wait to see it in action as well (especially with adults). Unless you're part of the Polar Bear Club I wouldn't try it this weekend since we're expecting the first major cold front coming through Houston.

Okay we just did pool school [emoji3]. I will be ordering my test kit from TFP.

I however have a question not regarding chemicals.

The Polaris cleaner I turned on to test. The pump makes a weird noise and the Polaris does not move at all. I disconnected the Polaris from the wall and turned on pump. Is it supposed to be blowing out not sucking in correct? I think they may have he pump either wired backwards electrical or piped wrong?

Just wanted to update everyone on our install. We LOVE it!!! The kids have been swimming even when the water is 72-75 degrees. I do heat the spa and they hang out in there but still go down the slide and jump off the rocks. Due to the nice weather the kids were swimming Christmas Day! For New Years I did hear the pool to 83 degrees it took about 20 hours. Have not gotten the gas bill yet but it is was well with it. Once I got the pool to 83 turned off the heat and it stayed fairly warm for 3 days as the kids swam. I am messing with the VSP pump trying to find a happy medium I will let you know!

Thanks again everyone!
