New pool build in CA

No they just pour at 4am and have the plant add release to the mix to slow the curing process down.

If we were to water the concrete it would mess up the colored powder that is stamped in. It will be all pressure washed off after a few days. Then you will see the details of the stamping.

We are heading home tomorrow, can't wait to see it in person!!

Concrete pouring is done, now wait til Wednesday to power wash then seal it Thursday. Getting closer!

I guess now would be a good time to test the hose water?

Yeah test your fill water after you use it to "bond" with your new concrete aka watering it. Here is the "expert" reason why we do this:

This is kind of it in a nutshell . . .
http://www.cemexusa.com/ProductsServ...b_Cracking.pdf

Slowing the exit of free water (by wetting) allows the mix to cure to a strength more likely to resist internal forces that develop during curing. It also keeps the hydration process in an optimal range, since the water needed for further and continued hydration isn't lost to evaporation.

Credit goes to BigE.

Somehow I've missed this build, looks fantastic!!!

Which plaster did you decide to go with?

Also, and off the subject, but where in Turks and Caicos are you going? We've been looking at the Beaches for some time due to the waterpark and taking the kiddos.

We are going with the Mediterranean finish from Wet Edge and adding glass to it.

We stayed at The Palms which is right next door to Beaches, it was a amazing place. We have been to a few islands in the Caribbean and I think the sand there was better than anywhere else! You will have a blast. [h=2][/h]

I'll look into that. We love Antigua when we go without kids, we've stayed at Galley Bay many times. But this will be our first foray into the caribbean with the kiddos. LOL
