I noticed today on my pool valve that even though I had put it to close (water from skimmer and main drain shouldn't be coming) that water was still coming into the pool pump. When I tried adjusting the valve it was extremely difficult to move around. I stuck my band in to see what it was. A blue piece of rubber was jammed in there, I had to yank a few pieces out. But water still leaking into pump even though valve is turned to closed. Any ideas and suggestions.
