    A country boy's pool build...Dean, Texas

Beautiful! Congratulations! I love the table. I have never seen that done before. The tanning ledge looks nice with the sand color. Glad you were able to keep your water under control until they fixed the problem with your pump.

Is it possible to fix a leak in the return jet without draining?

I'll probably have to wait for the water to warm up a bit more so either my husband or I can get in the pool to hold the bowl. We have fencing around the top of the pool so it would probably be near impossible to do it any other way. Glad to hear it works!

Is it possible to fix a leak in the return jet without draining?

I just got our pool cleaned up from the winter, 2 weeks and lots of work....our pump stopped working near the end of the season last year. We no longer cover it because it is so difficult with the fencing around it and we get high winds frequently so it ends up tearing anyway. I just noticed a...

Help! Pool Cover Stained Top Rails

I removed our cover on Friday and found that the cover "faded" onto many of our top rails. It is a red colored fade, I guess from the black underside of the cover, it looks actually faded into the rails. I have tried bleach, oxyclean, and a magic eraser and nothing has helped. Has anyone ever...

    Recommendations for SWG? Tips?

We are looking into getting a SWG for this season. Any recommendations? Tips? Suggestions? Is it best to install pre-opening or after we get everything up and running again? Fingers crossed for clear water when we open. This is our first season keeping the pool covered all winter (thanks to...

    Bleach Price Increase

I noticed this too last week. I went to Sam's to get Clorox, been paying $7.48 for 3 182oz. jugs and found out it went up to $8.54! So I decided to wait until I went to Walmart and just buy GV. Well, when I got there I noticed the GV 182oz. jugs had went up to $2.98, was just $2.79 a few days...

Desperately need advice. (Day 9--We have a clear pool now!)

Re: Desperately need advice. Green pool won't clear up! Yeah, what they said. ;) You definately need a good test kit, it's impossible to properly shock your pool without it. Mine is the best investment I've made in the pool since we had it installed. It's worth every cent! Read Pool School -...

Safe to kick off sides of pool?

We have the same problem! They constantly jump off the steps (which worries me that we will get a tear in the liner) and push hard enough off the walls that sometimes you hear them "pop". They act like I'm being rediculous and that it can't hurt anything.... :blah: , but they aren't the ones who...

    NC Pool Build

Very beautiful, I love it! I had no idea you could vinyl a free form pool, much less get a non-blue liner. We hope to "upgrade" in the future to an IG pool and I really want a free form. So happy to learn that you can vinyl them, esp in non-blue! I never would have known that's what yours was...

*** UPDATED *** AGP install pics

Sorry it took me so long to get a pic, but here you go. :) We're loving the ladder set up this way! Thanks again for the great idea! Unfortunately we couldn't make the ballasts work. :( DH wouldn't drill holes in the caps to help with the pressure and putting them on and they ended up leaking...

Bought all the materials to make the ballasts yesterday and have one quick question. The largest zip ties I could find were 36", do you strap each one individually to the tray or the whole pyramid together to the tray? Thanks again for all your help!

Opening Pool...Day 25, Work Your Magic ProTeam's MM

Unfortunately, no. :( The girls asked me last night if it was clear his morning, could they swim today and I said yes.......wasn't until this morning when dh reminded me the steps need to be put back in first that I realized they're going to have to wait. :hammer: It's not something I can do...
