    TA is 560!!!!!!!!

So I just filled my pool after building it.... the water is cloudy greenish... not terrible so I started the SLAM process... pH was a bit high 8.0 .. so I was hoping lowering it would also decrease TA and it hasn't touched it... been in the 500's for 3 days .... water has not cleared at all...

    My autofill

Lol... I am 10000000% sure there is no check valve... I installed the entire pool... including the autofill... 1.5" return.... connected to a few 90's.... connected to about 20' of 1.5" pipe.... connected to the tank... that's it.... that's why I don't understand the issue!

Ok i might not have been clear... this is a new build..... the float valve and everything is not even functional right now as far as the float valve etc... I am testing out the system... like I said it filled the tank to the same level as the pool... the pool water level was still a bit low...

    My autofill

Possibly... I thought maybe I should have added the return higher in the wall.... it's about midway up the 3ft walls.. I put it even with the others... maybe there would be less back pressure if it were higher up the wall??? I don't know... - - - Updated - - - The tank is open at the top...

    My autofill

There is no check valves... just straight piping and a couple elbows... the water remains level in the tank... if I pump water out the tank.. it gets refilled by the pool to the same level... if I add water to the tank.. it just fills the tank and keeps it full.... as far as air... I guess it...

    Poor man's endless swimjet

I have an extra 1hp pentair pump and I tried... I built a contraption using 2" PVC ... I put 3 "t" on it that were 2" by 3/4"... Then I put jet type water hose fittings on it... 2 of the jets were about 1.5' apart and at the surface of the water and 1 was in the middle just under the water...

    Once per week maintenance....

Yes drain and refill would be an option... Actually their pool was green all winter...(like most)... And she just completely drained it, cleaned it out and refilled it... I haven't gone out there yet.. But will probably go Monday... I could pre measure some bleach for her but that will take some...
