Once again, THANK YOU TFP!! Walked out to a humming pump the other day, quick google search led me to this thread. A $33 dollar capacitor later and it was up and running again! Super easy to fix ~ took me longer to drive to get the capacitor than it did to actually remove & replace it!

We've had a lot of rain, so I've dumped in probably 5 bags ~ which have all been Clorox ~ but this is the first time there was any staining. I'll go for Solar Salt next time! Thanks again!

Okay, I have gotten the TA down to 70. pH is currently 7.5. Am I done? Do I just leave it as is now and see how my pH reacts and if it's rate of change has slowed with the TA lowering?
