    Evaporation or Leak?

Thanks for the clarification Marty. And for putting me in the right forum! Does that water loss seem normal? It could be we have had little rain this year, and in years past we had rain.

    Evaporation or Leak?

Hello, Earlier this year I installed a SWCG, which has been a total blessing. With it, obviously, I raised the salt level in my pool. During the summer, it seemed the pool water was evaporating quicker than years past, and i read on here that the higher salt % causes a higher evaporation level...

    Pool light options

Your question(s) got me thinking. I really do not use the light much, just at night when anyone is swimming, and that is not every day. The light is quite bright, and at this point I will just put on a dimmer switch and call it a day.

    Pool light options

Hello- My pool light went out last week. I took it out and to saw I had a 500 watt incandescent bulb in there. I went to Leslie's to see what options they had, and they did not really have any. So went to PoolZoom, and local pool store here in San Antonio. I bought a PAL light LED, with all the...

    pH levels and SWG

I drive right by you all the time! Thanks for that info. One more thing....i just went out to check out the SWG, and the Generate light was off. No other light was on. Pump is running (has flow) I noticed the Sailinity reading said 0000PPM. this is wierd. It is well over 3000. And the low salt...

    pH levels and SWG

Thanks Pat. I have two timers over there. of course i used the one that is broken. nothing a little rewiring cant fix! Question again if i can. just trying to zero in on SWG runtime. You have same SWG and similar size pool as mine. I think you are in full sun, and I am partial. How long do you...

    pH levels and SWG

i hooked the SWG to my old intermatc timer to control the timing. ends up dang thing does not work. Manual says its ok to use flow valve to control generation. you guys trust it? am i ok leaving SWG on at all times, and let flow valve control generation?

    pH levels and SWG

OK, so i started her up! i set it at 50% to see how that works. The salinity reading on the unit says 2670. that is a variance of 800. what level are you at?

    pH levels and SWG

Thanks Pat. I had to add 2 jugs of MA to get it down. I'll maintain it. Also re-measured salt with the Taylor K-1766. Same as yesterday. 17 drops to get to Salmon! so I am at 3400. You think I should add salt? Book says 3500, or between 3000-4000. Maybe add a bag or two?

    pH levels and SWG

I just installed a SWG (Circupool RJ45) I have not started it up yet, as I just took the leaf cover off and getting the salt where it needs to be. I have a few questions. 1) how important is pH level when using a SWG? I always have high pH because of where I am. I maintain it decently well, but...

    SWG for 15k pool

Thanks for the quick reply. My install will by almost identical to yours. You can see my pic above. I just need to wire it to my Intermatic timer, and make sure it aligns with my pump schedule. I am hoping my current pump schedule will allow for enough chlorine generation. what do you think...

    SWG for 15k pool

I bought the Circupool RJ-45 yesterday for $1,299. Looking forward to getting it going. Quick questions if I could. I thought you had to add salt to a SWG for it to make chlorine from the salt. (like a water softener) But I guess it takes the salt from the water and converts that? That is why...
