IntelliCenter 2.017 FW Update

@SA Pentair User and @pjt
If okay with you guys, may I copy your messages and pass them forward? Maybe it will help, who knows.
Anyone else having any issues with v2.017 AND after having their pumps re-flashed to v3.05?
Let me know....

No problem from me. I'd love to have Pentair fix the problem.

No problem on my side also. However, I am already in contact with Pentair on various little items that I picked up (including the one mentioned here) and they are actively looking at these.

I just updated to 2.017 yesterday evening and this morning my circulation pump started as specified in the schedule but when solar kicks in and the valve opened it didn't increase its RPM as it usually does. When I turn off the pump the dot in the app shows the pump as off by turning red but the pump stays with its last RPM setting and doesn't actually turn off. Right now I don't have a way to turn off the pump via my automations. Has anyone else seen that? (I am calling Pentair right now)

Are you on a 011056 vsf pump by chance ? If so check that the pump is connected to automation (display not active displayed on pump). If it is not, check the pump firmware revision (intellicenter in service mode, on pump go to settings /firmware) 3,03 amd 3.04 have issues and need to be updated.

Thank you for the super quick reply.
I have 022056 VS pumps. The display showed not active. The FW is 2.11 does that mean my pumps are running super old FWs?
Interestingly my spa jet pump and water feature pump work as expected just the main circulation pump does not.

From what I have heard only the 011056 pumps have the firmware issue (and 2.017 will prominently display a warning)
I would try rebooting the system (full shutdown for at least 1 min to clear the capacitors) and see if that resolves the issues. Then check to make sure your pump settings and schedules did not get fubar'd with the update.

So, question about the firmware on the pumps. I've got 2x of the 011056 pumps both running v2.11 of the firmware. Are the issues with firmware only on the 3.x versions? Or do I need to be getting reflashed prior to considering updating to 2.017?

I tried that and a few other things with Pentair which didn't help. Good thing downgrading is very easy and the update didn't add any new functionality. So I am back at the previous version and everything works great again.

Bug - Flashed to 2.017 and the OCP clock goes to 12AM. Then about 30 seconds later, it resets the clock to the "correct" time, except I am on DST and it set the clock to PST (Pacific Standard Time). So my schedules are one hour off for the whole day. Then at some point overnight, the clock resynchronizes again, and gets the correct PDT (Pacific Daylight Time) setting and schedules are good again.

Defect - IntelliFlo filter pump will not turn on.
Pump: Pentair Intelliflo VS pump (011018) with VF drive (011012). The display on the pump says: Display Not Active, which is normal. But the "Start/Stop" light is not lit, which is not normal.
A quiet clicking sound can be heard on the drive about every 30 seconds.

If I put the panel into Service mode, I can operate the pump normally, using the pump control panel. If I rollback the firmware to 1.067, the pump operates normally. If I use the defective 2.006 firmware, the pump operates normally, but there are other issues.

Thanks. I was able to downgrade to 1.064. My schedules and panel now control my heat pump.

For some reason, I am still unable to use the app to control the heat pump. It worked perfectly before 2.017.

It is saying "Spa Temp" could that be the issue?

I cannot get the clock source to change to auto. It will not stick and reverts to manual. Also not updating time when selected. Any ideas?
