From there select “Log Test Results” and enter your current tests. Can I Enter Custom Levels?

Currently there is no way to alter the levels as we wish for the App to be utilized as a tool for those who follow the “Trouble Free Pool Care” system of maintaining their water. We feel our levels help users in the long run keep their water clear and maintain their equipment while also making things cheap/easy on the end user.

On the forum we’ll be more than happy to assist you in understanding why we set these levels the way we do and how it benefits the end user by following our teachings.

Why are the timestamps on my logs different on the app and the TFP website?

The timestamps displayed on the TFP website for the PoolMath logs are currently set to UTC. We acknowledge this discrepancy and are actively working on a solution to ensure that timestamps reflect the correct local time for users.

Why can't I find tablets in the app?

In the PoolMath app, chlorine tablets are referred to as 'Trichlor'. This naming convention aligns with the chemical composition of the tablets, ensuring clarity and accuracy for users.

My SWG model isn't listed in the app. How can I input its chlorine production rate?

If your specific SWG model isn't listed, don't worry. Navigate to the SWG settings within the app. Here, you'll find an option labeled “24 hour SWG output”. Simply enter the amount of chlorine your SWG produces in a 24-hour period, and the app will use this data for its calculations.

Using Decimals in PoolMath

Some users have reported issues when entering decimal values in the PoolMath app. This guide explains how to correctly input decimals and addresses concerns about app behavior related to commas and decimals.

How to Input Decimal Values

Ensure that your keyboard supports decimal entry. On most devices, look for the decimal key (".") on the default keyboard. For most devices this will be located just to the left of the "Zero" button. For European locales where a comma (",") is used instead of a decimal point, verify your regional settings. If the app does not allow you to input a decimal as the first character, enter "0" before the decimal. For example, type "0.5" instead of ".5". Double-check your input before saving to avoid errors like entering "5" instead of "0.5."

Known Issues

Some users have noted that the app misinterprets inputs due to regional settings where commas are standard for decimals. Inconsistent behavior has also been observed when using third-party keyboards that replace the decimal with a comma.

Workarounds

Use the default keyboard on your device to ensure proper functionality. Check your device's regional settings. On iOS, go to Settings > General > Language & Region and select a region that uses decimals. On Android, go to Settings > System > Languages & input > Region and adjust the setting if necessary.

Account Issues

Switching Subscription From Android to iOS

At times users may switch App Stores and wish to transfer their Subscription from one platform to another. If your subscription doesn’t update when you first login to PoolMath try to logout of the App. Then log in once again as hopefully this updates your account. If this small step doesn’t help please email us at [email protected]. We’ll work together to manually update your account to get everything updated correctly.

How Do I Cancel a PoolMath Subscription

Sometimes users may sell their house or no longer wish to subscribe to the App for whatever reason. Because PoolMath is setup to automatically renew the App yearly users will need to manually unsubscribe or fee's maybe charged by the App stores.

To unsubscribe you’ll need to do so via your device on the App Stores. You can follow steps listed in the link below depending on which device you currently own,

I've shared my data on the forum, but it's not showing up.

Data sharing between the PoolMath app and the TFP forum requires consistency in login methods. If you've used a social login (like Facebook or Google) for the PoolMath app but created a separate TFP account for the forum, the data won't sync. To ensure seamless data sharing, always use your TFP account to log in on both platforms.

Data Disappearing From PoolMath

Your data is very likely showing on the server, but it appears it hasn't synced to your device. Please try the following steps to get your data back:

1. Pull down to refresh. This might help sync the data.

2. If that doesn’t work, log out and log back in using the same method you originally did. If you used social login at first, you must use the same social login now.

3. If these steps fail, try deleting the app and reinstalling it. This should help reset any syncing issues.
