Yellow Tinted Water

Filled my pool last week after liner change. The pool water has a yellow tint to it. We live in an area with high iron in the water.

Current readings:

pH 6.8
TC 2.6
TA 70
CYA 50

Thoughts?

Hello!!!

Can you confirm other readings for your pool (e.g. CC, CH, CYA, FC). I'm not sure if your current test kit can do those readings. If not, you may need to get another test kit if it can't. It would really help to have those results. The link above about Iron will also help.

It appears you have a Taylor 2006 kit (based on signature). What are your readings for combined chlorine? CYA? Free Chlorine?

Your current total chlorine of 2.6 would mean your free chlorine is slightly less which is low unless you have little to no CYA in the pool. You may have algae and need to SLAM the pool.
