White molds are not true fungi but rather a fungus-like eukaryotic organism (similar to bacteria).
I may have misspoke slightly regarding fungi/bacteria- regardless, the formation of such organisms is a sign that at some point the pool was under sanitized allowing it flourish.
What you’re describing definitely sounds like white water mold.
What kind of filter do you have? With your use of floc along with the other things you mentioned it is likely in need of a deep clean. Along with the use of the Ahhsome to help with any biofims.
You may have just physically removed it, only time will tell if it stays away.
Not sure what level of sanitizer & oxidizer you’re supposed to maintain in a baqua pool but erring on the higher end is probably best to attempt keeping white water mold & slime away.
As mentioned- regardless of which sanitizer path you choose a good test kit will save you from making unnecessary and costly adjustments.
FWIW- With a chlorinated pool (liquid chlorine or swg)
Any ta 50 or above is fine.
With a ta of 80 ph will likely rise on its own or you can help it along by pointing the jets up to aerate the water.
In general any ph in the 7’s is ok.
Not sure what kinds of effects the various chems you are using have on your parameters as many are on our “not recommended” list.

For Baquacil the ideal ranges are:
pH 7.2-7.8
TA 80-150 ppm
Biguanide 40-50 ppm
We're on a well, we've always had to add hardness and alkalinity as our water is super soft and acidic.

Baqaucil's weekly maintenance is:
Keep sanitizer and algistat 40-50 ppm
1 qt peroxide oxidizer per 10,000 gallons
1 pint CDX per 10,000 gallons OR algicide for non CDX

Mom's maintenance was
Weekly
Keep sanitizer and algistat 40-50 ppm
2 oz algicide
4 oz BioGuard Pool Complete
Monthly
1 gallon peroxide oxidizer

The only thing I modified was 1 gallon oxidizer weekly as the test strips showed 0 or 10%, and I brush the sides and bottom usually weekly, probably vacuum it more often with a venturi vac, and run it much longer than she would. We aim for about 12 hours a day. I flocculated once in the beginning of the season to drop out a little haze. I raised the pH once. I added a maintenance dose with the algicide last weekend to see if it would help. The water is clearer, smells better, and tastes better than it ever has. Just the very minor amount of mold, so little that the water was crystal clear still.

We have a sand filter, I use a sock in the skimmer. Backwashes are very clean. I think it may be 3 years old now, they replaced a DE filter with this one.

Just looked up the ingredients in that bioguard weekly pool complete

The 1st on the list is a weak flocculant- this will gum up your filter & “alum” containing products lower ph
The 2nd is a likely diluted phosphate remover- they conveniently keep the amount trade secret 🤫
generally unnecessary in a properly sanitized pool & they can often cause cloudiness.
Deep cleaning the sand is something that should be done every season or so anyway- especially if you use potions & baqua.

Please understand that they are not only selling you the “cure” but also the cause of some of your problems. At $60+ a bottle no less.

The sanitizer level is 45.
Your sanitizer level is fine. I have discovered - as part of fighting these biofilms, etc. - that it's important to keep the sanitizer level up. It's so easy to get complacent about it cause it doesn't need to be tested all that often.

I'm also going to try Ahh-Some- Swimming Pool Clarifier Gel.
This is good stuff and makes the water even feel better, i.e. softer. Can't explain why that is but does seem it. I add it once a month but since I'm closing in the next few days I won't bother adding any at this point. Debating on one final dose of line clean. I'll probably add it tomorrow IF I decide to not close till Thursday. As for the white mold, I just wire brushed the entire pool again and not a trace of it. Prior to using line clean and ahhsome, that white stuff would have come off the walls in bunches.

Well that went over as good as a fart in church - no way she says.
Wow! You had said she doesn't use the pool anymore, so had you just done a conversion do you think she'd have even known it? Other than maybe seeing you add however many gallons of chlorine needed, probably wouldn't have even known (?)
