Working out amount of liquid chlorine to SLAM pool?

Pool balance is out after recent rain/storms and has a tinge of green colour in it - 3 days ago did backwash & added 500ml algaecide & readings were:
TH high, TC 0, FC 0, pH 7.8, Alk 120, run filter overnight - filer pressure 80.

Next day added 2L liquid chlorine - test results: TH - 1000 high, TC 2, FC low 1, pH 8.4 high, Alk 240 high, CYA 30-50.

Today added 200ml acid - which brought the pH & Alk back into balance but realise after reading some posts that I probably need to SLAM the pool but not sure how much liquid chlorine is needed to increase the ppm -nor what level of ppm is necessary? I've just joined and added my signature but I suspect the info may not have saved -guess I will find out soon enough.

welcome to TFP
those look like pool store test results which are worse than useless
pool math at top of page will tell you how much of each chemical to add
but you need accurate numbers to enter
looking at your test results your TA went from 120 to 240, your PH went from 7.8 to 8.4 all from adding liquid chlorine ???????
first thing will be to get a quality test kit Pool School - Test Kits Compared
whilst waiting on your test kit read pool school Pool School - Pool School

Hi - I am wanting to take care of our pool - made a mistake in the test results posted - the TA went from 240 to 120 and the pH went from 8.4 to 7.8 & yeh I'm trying to source a quality test kit locally. Can you advise where the Taylor K2006 is available in Oz?

Have tried adding details of pool to signature without success saving. Have sent an email to support about that but our pool is 11K gal, IG pebble, Hurlcon vx7 sand filter, Viron Astral p600 EVO variable speed pump, sanitiser type salt 4000-6000, cleaner barracuda Zodiac G2 series, regular service - use Platinum Power Force test strips in between times - on off peak elect supply which goes out intermittently during peak demand but runs at least 8 hrs during summer.

Welcome to the forum.

As mentioned you will need the recommended test kit to successfully complete a SLAM. There is a place that manufactures an Australian version of the Taylor test kit Clearchoicelabs which would be cheaper to ship and get to you sooner.

Have you tried following this link to add your signature.

Congratulations on finding this great website -you won't regret it.
