Wood pulp DE replacement

I’m on my last bag of DE and my local pool store is now pushing the the wood pulp replacement product. Anyone using it here ? I’d love to hear your opinions.

I’ve read up on it and it’s supposed to filter better which is a plus but you are not supposed to use phosphate removers with it bc it clogs up the filter.

I know this board does not believe in checking and removing phosphates but I like to keep them low to avoid any blooms if my FC dips. I’m not on site all week and it can happen. I’ll feel better once the saltwater generator is installed next season. Plus my Cya is a little on the high side.

I have absolutely no knowledge of this product. In an unrelated matter I tried wood fiber kitty litter once and it failed miserably at cleaning up cat related droppings. Based on this experience, I’ll stick with DE for my pool.
