Wobbly pool

Hi...we had our pool installed last year by someone who did a very unprofessional job. I wanted to drain and repair myself but I cannot get a hold of a new liner. So I am going to wait until fall to do repairs. Pool wall is buckling on the bottom in 2 spots. Water level is only off by .5 inches so that is not an issue. Pool wall is level all the way around but every single upright is crooked and only a few are flush with the pool wall. So my question is...when the kids jump in on side of the pool shakes pretty bad. Is that ok? Are above ground pools supposed to shake? Thanks in advance.

Welcome to TFP.

I would take measurements and write down exactly how far the legs are off and then check them weekly. If the uprights start moving then it is an indication you have a problem developing and should stop using the pool.

My pool flexes when the kids get the water moving al over and it’s pretty well installed.

I think the gaps between the wall and upright are relatively typical and no issue. That one upright is definitely pretty far out of plumb and would definitely annoy me, not sure that it would be a structural issue probably just cosmetic. I think I do see the wall buckling you are talking about, that would be my biggest issue, though not sure what could be done about it at this point now that the structure of the metal has been comprised. if it has been like that since install and is not getting worse, it’s probably just something that you’ll never like but have to live with.
